Laura Whistler has been dancing from the age of 3 and is professionally trained in Highland, Scottish national and ballet. From the age of 16 she has worked as a professional dancer touring the UK, Spain, India and China. Whilst touring and performing Laura has competed in many competitions and championships. She has reserved the title of best local dancer for 10 years, won the All England Championships in both 2012 and 2013 and competed in over 15 World Championships.
Laura is now the owner of the Whistler School of Highland Dance and is a fully qualified member of the BATD. Laura’s pupils have claimed 2 All England titles in 2017 and 2018 and she has had children in her dance school ranked top 6 in England for the last 5 years. As an official on the SOBHD judges World Wide panel she now travels the UK adjudicating and in 2019 was put on the Championship panel. This year Laura will be judging both the City of Inverness Championships and the Forfar Championships.
